Drew Bishop - Board Member

Drew Bishop is in his third year working as the Scouting Director for Five Tool. Along with being the Scouting Director, Bishop runs the Five Tool North Texas Summer Collegiate League, is the co-host of the Five Tool Podcast, and helps select and coach academic teams that compete in the Arizona Fall Classic each fall. 

Prior to working for Five Tool, Bishop spent 13 seasons on the University of Texas baseball staff as an Assistant Athletic Director and Director of Baseball Operations after finishing his playing career for UT in 2008.

He directed the team’s day-to-day operations, including team travel, overseeing camps and on-campus recruiting visits, along with helping organize the yearly Alumni Weekend, planning the budget, and scheduling.

The Dallas native played four seasons for late head coach Augie Garrido after a standout career at Rockwall High School. During his playing time with the Longhorns, Texas went 182-76 (.705) including winning the 2005 College World Series.

Bishop earned the Longhorn Academic Spirit Award in 2006 and 2007, the UT Teammate of the Year Award in 2007 and 2008, and the Student Services Most Inspired Performance Award in 2008. He was also a member of the 2008 Academic All-Big 12 first team and earned his degree in sport management in 2008. 

Bishop and his wife, Mary, have two sons, Coy and Gray.
