Keith Boydston - Board Member

Keith Boydston was born in Waco, Texas, and grew up as an Air Force “Brat” living around the world before his family, including three younger brothers, settled in Greenville, Texas, when he was 11.

He graduated from Greenville Senior High School in 1977 where he lettered two years in varsity football as the team’s QB1 and earned three letters in baseball starting as a sophomore. During his junior season, Keith was named to the second team All-District squad as a second baseman, and then earned first team All-District honors during his senior campaign as an infielder.

Keith then attended and played baseball at Eastfield Community College in Dallas (Mesquite) where he earned an associate degree (English/Journalism) before landing in Denton at what was then North Texas State University where he played baseball from 1980-82. During his playing days for the Mean Green, Keith averaged over .300 at the plate and committed only 11 errors in more than 150 games as a three-year starter at third base.

He has deep family roots in Denton where his parents were born, and where his youngest Brother, Doug, currently serves as a Denton County Constable.

Keith served more than 23-years on active duty in the Navy as a military Journalist, serving and living onboard ships at sea and at many overseas locations, including combat zones, before retiring as a Chief Petty Officer in June 2007. He continues to serve in the U.S. government as a Public Affairs Officer in Kings Bay, Georgia, home to the U.S. Navy’s east coast ballistic-missile and guided-missile submarine fleet.

Keith and his wife, Suzi, have one daughter, Jessica, and two grandchildren, Adalee and Nico Ray.
